It’s been a little colder than we would have liked
Not exactly frozen, but definitely dark
And it’s hard to survive without sunlight

But you’ll notice that lately things have been
A little warmer, a lot brighter,
With fewer clouds darkening the view

And though we may still get flurries,
And we’re due weeks of rain
A thaw is upon us, and it’s nice

A little muddy, perhaps,
But still nice
